 rst anniversary of the 2020 Zagreb earthquake\, was a ''gamechanger'' in C
 roatia in terms of raising the level of knowledge\, connecting experts (pr
 omoting international cooperation) and maintaining a high level of risk aw
 areness following the earthquakes that struck central Croatia twice in one
  year. It emerged in the response to the need for reconstruction and as a 
 conclusion to the many post-earthquake activities. The conference was a gr
 eat success gathering more than 700 researchers\, practicing engineers and
  architects\, government representatives\, students and others from 26 cou
 ntries.The Second Croatian Conference on Earthquake Engineering (2CroCEE)\
 , held on the third anniversary of the 2020 Zagreb earthquake\, enforced a
  continuous and decisive ''play with earthquakes'' in a small and vulnerab
 le country like Croatia. Conference was used for establishing a new tradit
 ion where earthquakes are not forgotten (even if they do not occur very of
 ten) and where knowledge is passed on to new generations. Over 300 partici
 pants seized unique opportunity for technical visits to the earthquake-aff
 ected areas and reconstruction sites in Zagreb and Petrinja.The Third Croa
 tian Conference on Earthquake Engineering (3CroCEE)\, held on the fifth a
 nniversary of the 2020 Zagreb earthquake\, aiming to “reload” knowledg
 e-sharing and “reunite” efforts to raise awareness of Croatia’s majo
 r risk: earthquakes. Many of Croatia’s most beautiful places are also hi
 ghly exposed—Dalmatian cities such as Split are rich in heritage but inc
 lude many traditional\, seismically vulnerable buildings. A key goal of th
 e conference was to promote state-of-the-art research and translate it int
 o prevention measures that reduce casualties and damage.The Fourth Croatia
 n Conference on Earthquake Engineering (4CroCEE)\, planned on the seventh 
 anniversary of the 2020 Zagreb earthquake\, continues the mission of the p
 revious three conferences: to keep earthquake risk in focus\, connect expe
 rts across disciplines and borders\, and turn knowledge into action. In Cr
 oatia\, where earthquakes are infrequent but potentially devastating\, mai
 ntaining awareness and strengthening resilience is essential.  Join us at
