In accordance with the motto of the conference, the emphasis will be placed on technical visits, because it is a unique opportunity to follow the paths/footsteps of our engineers performing damage assessments, but also to witness the reconstruction process (hopefully in the full swing) - especially of the cultural heritage (financed by the EU Solidarity Fund).
Two main technical visits to the earthquake-affected sites are planned.
The first one will take place in the historical core of Zagreb and will include visits to the Zagreb Cathedral, St. Catherine’s Church, two high schools in the Upper Town and other interesting sites affected by the 2020 Zagreb earthquake, led by engineers involved in their retrofit.
The second technical visit will cover the historical centres of the towns Petrinja, Sisak and Glina, and their surroundings, in Sisak-Moslavina County
